Drowning in fields of melted green
Grasping at the newborn light of the sun
A shooting star soars and lands in between
My eyes. It twinkles at me and we run
So we swim along to the beat of my heart
The lilies and diamonds don't even care
But the jigsaw puzzle crumbles apart
And the staircase is no longer there
The artichoke's heart turns inside out
The ocean is nothing but water and salt
Then the twinkle fades into betrayal and doubt
As my blood peels from the walls
The shooting star who once loved me
Has found a comet with which to run
Now I'm drowning in fields of melted green
Grasping at the dwindling light of the sun

I'm plumetting straight down in a roundabout spiral
Towards waking sleep with no chance of revival
If I don't catch myself you can't break my fall
I'll lose all that I have, which is nothing at all

Do you hear that? That's the sound of my heart. I think it's crying.
